Building Usage Policies

Policies re Focus on Fibre:
1. Focus on Fibre is a members only building. The current fee has been set at $20/person annually payable in January. Fees are used to cover utilities, insurance and improvements.
If a non-member wishes to attend a retreat or workshop they must first become a FOFA member. The person or organization presenting the workshop is responsible for ensuring that all participants are members of FOFA and for getting the monies to the FOFA executive.
2. Rental fees for a workshop for which fees are charged is $40/day.
3. Building scheduling to be requested through Mary Cadman, a calendar will be maintained on the blog at focusonfibre.blogspot.com. Mary can be reached at 442-0206 or cadmanm@telus.net. If a event is cancelled the scheduler must also be notified as soon as possible.
4. Decisions regarding purchases and donations for the building require approval of the FOFA executive.
5. Each time you use the building, please sign in the book on the coffee table. Include date and reason ie. quilt meeting. We are trying to build usage statistics which could be important in the future.

6. Turn the heat to comfort level on arrival, turn down the heat to 10 degrees on departure. Unplug the small heater. Turn off all lights, close blinds. Lock the door and replace the key in the lock box.

7.  All users must clean up the facility immediately after use. Occasionally work parties may be scheduled, all members are expected to participate to their ability and availability.
8. Each group to supply their own refreshments.
9. Do not use items or supplies belonging to other groups. Do not enter the Woodworkers space as it is not part of the Focus on Fibre usage area.  Items for general usage are the stereo, television, coffee pot, kettle, dishes.
