The Focus on Fibre Association executive have met and have proposed a Building Usage Policy, details on another page. Your reps to the association are Emilie Belak for the Grand Forks Quilt Connection, Shirley Franz for The Sunshine Quilters of Grand Forks, and Mary Cadman for the Boundary Spinners & Weavers. Depending on the number of non-guild members, a representative from that group may be added to the Focus on Fibre Association Executive.
The Building Usage Policy will be presented by the reps to their guild members.

Open House

We held our first ever Open House and Guild Sale at Focus on Fibre yesterday. It was successfull beyond my wildest dreams. From before the start time of 10 a.m. the parking lot was full and it stayed busy all day. There must have been over 100 people through. We had plenty of positive encouragement from the visitors and several people bought memberships.

Open House and Guild Sale
On December 11 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. there will be an Open House and Guild Sale at 8120B Donaldson Drive in Grand Forks. This is one of the old SPCA buildings that the fibre people are fondly calling the 'Focus on Fibre Building'. The event is co-hosted by the fibre people and the woodworkers who share the building.
We hope people will come down and see what we are doing there and what our plans are and also take a look at some of the fine products produced by the spinners, knitters, weavers, rug hookers, quilters and woodworkers. You may find the perfect handmade Christmas gift.
